Like clockwork every season, I look to Copenhagen Fashion Week as a bellwether for trends both on and off the runway. The Danish capital gets the benefit of preceding the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris and thereby offers an enticing first glimpse at what's to come. Plus, the mix of brilliant designers (both up-and-coming like Helmstedt and cult-status like Ganni) and impossibly stylish attendees make it an event to circle on your calendar in thick red pen every season. So when Copenhagen Fashion Week invited me to see the action up close, I jumped at the chance.
