Sands Macao Fashion Week returns in October

Sands Resorts Macao will stage the second Sands Macao Fashion Week in October, showcasing leading luxury and lifestyle fashion brands, Macanese brands’ collections and local designer Nuno Lopes’ works.

Kicking off on 18 October, one of the highlights of the event is a fashion show for up to 220 VIP guests, media and key industry influencers. The event will also feature a series of ready-to-wear group runway shows highlighting current collections and various retail workshops and initiatives across the integrated resort.

Sands Macao Fashion Week also has several sections to support Macau’s cultural and creative industries. The closing show will be hosted by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM), which has once again been invited to participate as part of Sands China Ltd.’s ongoing campaign.

A showcase of Macanese designer Nuno Lopes is another focal point of the week-long event. Tipped as one of Asia’s top young fashion designers, Lopes is also the first Macanese fashion designer to be featured in Vogue magazine. Several Macanese fashion brands will showcase their new collections as well.

“Last year’s inaugural Sands Macao Fashion Week exceeded all our expectations and immediately established itself as an essential new event on the global calendar. This year it will be even bigger and better, featuring key fashion brands alongside the local fashion industry, with cutting-edge events crowned by a fabulous show,” said David Sylvester, executive vice president of global retail, Las Vegas Sands Corp.
