Fashion Week Store Tours Launch This Fall In NYC

Stores that combine creativity and the latest technologies to create unique shopper experiences will be showcased during New York City’s Fashion Week on September 5, 2018. Fashion Week Store Tours (FWST) will feature two-hour tours in some of the city’s hottest shopping districts: Soho, Madison Avenue, the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle and Manhattan’s newest and largest mall, the Westfield World Trade Center’s Oculus.

Barney’s, Rebecca Minkoff, Everlane, Stuart Weitzman, Stella McCartney, Prada and Kate Spade will be some of the stores featured on the guided tours, which will feature brand representatives at each location to answer attendees’ questions. The tours cost $150 per person.

“We love Fashion Week Store Tours, which will allow our shoppers to ‘see now, buy now’ our latest creations featured during Fashion Week,” said Rebecca Minkoff, the retailer’s founder, in a statement.

A Sustainability Tour will feature visits to two retailers led by a sustainability expert, with brand experts on site to demonstrate the retailers’ features, design, merchandising, technology and enhanced customer service practices. Additionally, private tours are available.

“We created the active-learning approach to help fashion executives absorb and process information critical to their businesses in short, digestible time periods,” said Daniel Hodges, FWST Founder and CEO in a statement.

FWST plans to expand the program to other cities in 2019, with tours planned for San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, London, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Dubai and 13 other cities.
