WOOO! WWE and Astro extends their partnership in Malaysia!

Hey wrestling fans! Give us a HELL YEAH, because WWE and Astro have just extended their partnership into its 17th, yes, SEVENTEENTH, year with a new agreement!

Under the agreement, Astro will continue to air WWE programming on its SuperSport channels, with additional airings on Astro’s Arena sports channel. These shows include flagship programs Raw and SmackDown and other shows like NXT, Afterburn, Bottomline, This Week and Main Event.

Astro will also continue offering WWE Network as a premium channel, which includes all WWE special events such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. The channel features 24/7 programming, including groundbreaking original series, reality shows, documentaries and classic matches.

“Astro has been a long-time valued partner, sharing our vision for engaging and entertaining our fans,” said Michelle Wilson, WWE Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer. “Their commitment to WWE allows us to continue showcasing our unique blend of action-packed, family friendly entertainment across Malaysia.”

“The response from the passionate fanbase has been tremendous, with nearly five million viewers in 2017 alone and we hope to serve more fans in years to come,”  said Lee Choong Khay, Astro Vice President of Sports Business.

Well, looks like there’ll be absolutely no chance of John Cena’s “You can’t see me!” catchphrase coming true in Malaysia anytime soon. And that’s the bottom line, because Astro said so!
