Catch the all-women showcase Dazzling Tamizhachi on Feb 3

Tickets to the Dazzling Tamizhachi show happening this Saturday, featuring a line-up of female performers from South India and Malaysia, are selling fast.

Among the Indian artistes to look out for at this three-hour event are actress/model Raai Laxmi, actress Hansika Motwani, playback singer Andrea Jermiah, actress Devadarshini, actress Sanjana Singh and nine-year-old Praniti, the winner of Sun Singer Season Four (a reality singing competition on Sun TV).

South Indian actress Amala Paul was scheduled to appear on the show too but as of Jan 30, it was reported she was arrested (and released on conditional bail) for tax evasion.

Representing Malaysia as of now is Punitha Raja who released an album Rasam in November 2017.

In a press release by organiser Malik Streams Corporation – the company that brought in Tamil films like Kabali and Singam 3 – this live event is meant as a two-way street to forge a closer relationship between Malaysia and India. It is also meant to promote Malaysia as a showcase venue and filming location for future Kollywood titles.

Malik Streams was responsible for last month’s Natchathira Vizha 2018 festival at Bukit Jalil which saw some 250 South Indian artistes participating, including superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

The audience for Dazzling Tamizhachi can look out for musical performances, comedy skits as well as a fashion show.

The showcase will take place at Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, at 7.45pm. To buy tickets go to live-myticket-asia.time.ly
