Ed Sheeran breaks his arm; could KL show be postponed?

Bad news, Malaysian Ed Sheeran fans.

The British singer-songwriter, who is slated to perform in Kuala Lumpur next month, has broken his arm in a bicycle accident, and it could affect his entire Asian tour.

The 26-year-old was reportedly hit by a car while cycling in London.

The Shape Of You hitmaker shared news of the accident on Instagram on Monday evening (Malaysian time).

“(I’ve) had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news,” he posted along with a photo of his injured arm.

The Asian leg of Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) world tour is supposed to kick off this Sunday in Taipei, with shows in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore to follow.

He is scheduled to perform at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 14, which will be his second show in the country. He first performed here in 2015.

Star2 reached out to R. Para, managing director of concert organiser PR Worldwide, who responded: “No official statement yet (from) artiste management.”
