Actress Hilarie Burton claims that Ben Affleck groped her during an episode of TRL in 2003, when she was a host of the MTV show.
Prompted by Affleck’s statement about Harvey Weinstein‘s sexual harassment allegations, in which he referred to Weinstein’s behavior as “sick,” a fan took to Twitter, writing that Affleck should have “kept quiet.”
Another fan responded, writing, “He also grabbed Hilarie Burton’s breasts on TRL once. Everyone forgot though.”
Burton responded, tweeting “I didn’t forget,” and thanked the fan for her acknowledgement of the incident.
She then tweeted a promotional video for TRL Uncensored in which she refers to an incident in which someone, presumably Affleck, “tweaks” her left breast, captioned, “Girls. I’m so impressed with you brave ones. I had to laugh back then so I wouldn’t cry. Sending love.”
The video also shows a clip of Affleck asking her how old she is.
Burton, who has been The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s partner since 2009, would have been 21 at the time of the incident, and Affleck 31. – Reuters
