K-pop star Park Yoo-chun’s wedding is not cancelled, says agency

Korean singer-actor Park Yoo-chun’s wedding is reported to have been postponed to Sept 20, amid rumours that the whole thing might be called off, but his agency is not having it.

“A specific date hasn’t been set yet. Park technically never confirmed the date himself, so it can’t be said that the wedding has been delayed,” C-Jes Entertainment said.

In July, the 31-year-old member of Korean boy band JYJ confirmed the marriage rumours and subsequent reports said the wedding would take place on Sept 10. His bride-to-be is the 28-year-old granddaughter of Namyang Dairy Products’ founder.

Park was discharged from mandatory military service last month and told fans he would “spend time looking back on his life”, which fuelled rumours that the wedding might be cancelled.

Earlier this year, he was embroiled in a sexual assault scandal, but cleared of all charges. One of the four accusers, who is on trial for falsely accusing him, is slated to hold a press conference on Sept 21. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network
