The highly-popular TV series Black Mirror looks like it will be paying tribute (or is it a spoof?) to another popular TV series – Star Trek – in an upcoming episode.
In a publicity shot provided by Netflix, cast members look like they are wearing Star Trek-like uniforms, posing in what looks like a spaceship! The episode entitled USS Callister stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel is one of the six episodes set for Season Four. It is nice to see Coel back on TV after she announced recently that her much-loved comedy Chewing Gum will not be back for a third season.
The second publicity photo released by Netflix is for an episode entitled Arkangel, which appears to tackle the theme of medicine. The episode is directed by Oscar winner Jodie Foster and stars Rosemarie Dewitt, Brenna Harding and Owen Teague.
Black Mirror is a British anthology series that explores the collective unease about the modern world. Season Three of the series earned two Emmy nominations. No date has been set for the premiere of Season Four.
The episode titled Arkangel is directed by Jodie Foster.
