Is Missing 9 the Korean version of Lost?

Are you a fan of the hit series Lost? Then you’ll enjoy watching this South Korean drama series, Missing 9, which features a similar premise.

In Missing 9, a plane carrying 47 passengers, including nine personalities from Legend Entertainment, a major company in the entertainment industry, crashes into a deserted island.

The drama, now available on dimsum, opens four months after the plane crash. Ra Bong Hee (Baek Jin Hee), stylist to a disgraced singer So Joon Oh (Jung Kyung Ho) who used to front a popular idol band called Dreamers, is found and transported back to South Korea.

Unfortunately, due to short-term memory loss, she’s unable to assist the police in the investigation. The story is told through two timelines – the present day and Ra’s time on the island.

Later, the other members of the titular “missing nine” return to South Korea as well. Among them are So and his former Dreamers bandmates Taeho (Choi Tae Joon) and Lee Yeol (Park Chan Yeol), his loyal manager Jung Ki-joon (Oh Jung Se), popular female celebrity Ha Ji-ah (Lee Sun Bin), Hallyu goddess Yoon So Hee (Ryu Won), Legend Entertainment president Hwang Jae Guk (Kim Sang Ho) and his secretary (Tae Ho Hang (Tae Hang Ho).

One of them then reveals that something nefarious happened on the island…
