Bruno Mars in KL tickets sold out in under an hour!

If you were hoping to score some tickets to the Bruno Mars concert in Kuala Lumpur next year, you’re in for some bad news.

Tickets to the concert started selling at 10am on Aug 14 – via http://ift.tt/1xQf4jz and www.myticket.asia – and were all snapped up in just 45 minutes. Ticket prices ranged between RM398 and RM888.

Concert organiser PR Worldwide managing director R. Para was surprised by the overwhelming response. “We expected the tickets to sell out out in a day, but not in 45 minutes. It’s a good sign for the music and concert industry, which in turn has a positive impact on the tourism industry, as hotels will be booked.”

PR Worldwide issued this statement on its Facebook page shortly after tickets had sold out: “Please stay tuned to http://ift.tt/1xQf4jz for any announcement related to any additional capacity that we may offer for sale after consulting with artist production team.”

Well, guess there’s hope yet for those of you who weren’t lucky enough to get tickets!

Para also urged fans not to resort to buying tickets from scalpers. “For the fans who didn’t manage to buy tickets, don’t go to scalpers or secondary ticket websites. Even before the tickets went on sale, there were some who claimed that they already had tickets. They are obviously fake.”

The Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour, which is currently happening in North America, will be coming to South-East Asia next year in May. Only two venues have been confirmed so far – Mall Of Asia in Manila, the Philippines on May 3 and Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex in KL on May 9.

Prior to that, Mars will be performing in Japan on two dates in April.

What this means: The possibility of having more South-East Asia dates and venues added to Mars’ schedule for next year actually looks good. Of course, it is all up to the singer and his management team to decide.

The 24K Magic World Tour is presented by PR Worldwide and Live Nation.
