Zoe Saldana, the green-skinned beauty

Want to know how actress Zoe Saldana gets ready for her role in the Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol 2?

Saldana has duly posted a dizzying time lapse video on Twitter showing the punishing steps needed to get ready for the role of the green-skinned and red-haired Gamora.

Gamora is an orphan from an alien world who was raised by the mysterious Thanos to become the perfect weapon. As Thanos’ personal assassin, Gamora has earned the reputation as a formidable warrior.

To transform into Gamora Saldana has to undergo a four-hour makeup session.

At the film’s press conference, Saldana revealed that she woke up at 2.30am to start the arduous makeup application process.

On what she does during the makeup Saldana told Elle, “I just talk. That’s all I do. I just chew everybody’s ears out. I never shut up. You can’t use your hands, you can’t move, and sometimes you have to keep your eyes closed because the paints may sting you, or all the heavy products they use may hurt your eyes. It is the most challenging thing to do.”

Zoe added that the makeup was the “hardest thing that James Gunn asked me to do”, and described it as “gruelling, and very testing. Honestly, I learned a lot about just being patient.”

“But when push comes to shove and we’re all dressed, and we get to set, there’s this overall feeling that we’re so lucky and happy to be together, and be a part of the Guardians Of The Galaxy,” she told Elle.
