Jelajah Suria 10 Tahun ended with a bang with a grand concert on April 29 at Mydin USJ in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
In conjunction with Suria’s 10th anniversary, the radio station had brought the road show to four other locations – Johor, Terengganu, Penang and Perak in April – as a way to thank loyal listeners.
The road show culminated in a star-studded concert at its last stop in Subang Jaya. Participants got to enjoy fun games and activites before the main event of the night.
At 9pm, singer Syamel took the stage and opened the concert at 9pm with his hits Hidup Dalam Mati and Lebih Sempurna.
Entertaining performances by Aizat Amdan, Hazama, Akim & The Majistret, Kaka Azraff, Drama Band, Liyana Jasmay and Syed Shamim followed.
The audiences’ enthusiasm was evident as many stayed on even as it began to rain.
“Alhamdulillah. There has been so many reactions from the listeners we met throughout our road shows. What’s certain is they all appreciate our initiative of meeting and connecting with the fans face-to-face. We hope they will continue to support us and we will continue to do our best,” Suria programme general manager Subarma Mohtaruddin said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, Star Media Radio Group digital and brand management senior manager Shahida Azad Jamaludin added: “Our objective is to strengthen our brand, Suria. With initiatives like these, we hope to be able to attract new listeners as well. Our promise is to always produce the hottest entertainment content to our listeners.”
