Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, is the fifth instalment in the popular pirate franchise starring Johnny Depp in one of his most iconic roles, as the slightly loony but honourable Jack Sparrow, captain of the pirate ship The Black Pearl.
In Salazar’s Revenge, Jack is pursued by an old nemesis, Captain Armando Salazar (Javier Bardem), a Spanish pirate hunter who was outfoxed by a young Jack and is trapped in the Devil’s Triangle, condemned to an undead curse.
When Salazar escapes, he vows not only to hunt down Jack, but also to wipe the seas clear of all pirates.
Jack’s only hope of escaping from Salazar’s clutches is a magical artefact called the Trident of Poseidon.
So, he embarks on a quest to seek it with the help of astronomer and horologist Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), and Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites) – the grown-up son of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) – who is determined to free his father from the curse of the Flying Dutchman at any cost.
