The stars came out at Batu Pahat Mall in Johor on April 1.
In conjunction with Suria’s 10th anniversary, the radio station brought its road show – Jelajah Suria 10 Tahun – to Batu Pahat where artistes like Datuk Hattan, Aizat Amdan, Drama Band, Haqiem Rusli, Sandra and Ippo Hafiz entertained the crowd with their hits.
“This concert tour is our way of thanking our loyal listeners for their unwavering support. We hope it will bring us closer to our listeners besides attracting new fans,” says Suria programme general manager Subarma Mohtaruddin in a press release.
On top of performances by their favourite artistes, fans also got to know Suria deejays such as Halim Othman, Abang Brian, DJ Lin and Zulin Aziz who were present at the event.
Fans also got to take part in various games and activities plus win cash prizes and exclusive Suria merchandise.
“The concert tour was warmly received last year so we wanted to continue it as it is one of our initiatives to strengthen our brand,” says Suria senior manager for digital and content Shahida Azad Jamaludin.
The concert tour will continue April 8 at Mydin Gong Badak, Terengganu. Here, Jelajah Suria 10 Tahun will feature popular artistes Ronnie Hussain, Sarah Fazny, Tajul, Azian Mazwan Sapuwan, Wani Hasrita and Black as well as the Suria announcers.
Look out for other upcoming stops of the tour in Penang (April 15), Perak (April 22) and Selangor (April 29). Amy Search, Siti Nordiana, Hazama, Akim & The Majistret, Black, Sufian Suhaimi and Kaka Azraff are slated to perform.
