New shows to watch on dimsum.my this month

Love is in the air this month at dimsum.my.

The video streaming service just included romantic series like Mischievous Kiss: Love In Tokyo (Seasons One and Two) and My Little Lover to its catalogue.

Mischievous Kiss: Love In Tokyo sees a high school girl Kotoko Aihara falling for fellow senior Naoki Irie. She confesses her love to him but the handsome and intelligent Naoki rejects her.

But this love story is truly written in the stars as, later, a shooting star hits Kotoko’s home, her father temporarily relocates the family to a friend’s home.

Her father’s friend has a son … who happens to be Naoki.

Another interesting Japanese romantic series is My Little Lover which explores the relationship between childhood friends and first loves Shunichi Minami and Chiyomi Horiki. But one day, a frusrated Chiyomi storms out of her home after a heated argument with her parents.

She wishes she could go back to a time when she was small again. Before she knew it, Chiyomi literally becomes small, only 15-cm tall, but not younger. Fearing that others would see her this way, she begs Shunichi to take her in.

As for films, don’t miss the Chinese coming-of-age drama So Young, directed by actress Vicki Zhao, where four young women navigate the confusing and exciting world that is university life.

Look out for family series Hong Kong’s Married But Available, Husband’s Secret Stash from China and Korea’s My Kids Give Me A Headache coming up at the end of the month.
