Jackie Chan will be in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 21 to promote his Chinese New Year film, Kung Fu Yoga.
Besides Chan, the entourage also includes his Bollywood co-stars – Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur – Muqimiya, a yoga instructor, and Kung Fu Yoga director Stanley Tong.
Fans can catch a glimpse of them at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 6pm, which will be followed by a gala premiere of Kung Fu Yoga at GSC Pavilion KL at 7pm. In line with the movie, the mall will be decorated in a Bollywood theme and there will be Bollywood dancers to entertain the crowd!
Can’t go to Pavilion? Then head to 1Utama Shopping Centre as the legendary action star and pals will be there at 8pm for a “lou sang” ceremony as well as to watch a special lion dance performance.
In Kung Fu Yoga, Chan plays an archaeologist who teams up with an Indian professor to locate a lost artefact.
Their search takes them around the world including ice caves of Iceland, the desert of Abu Dhabi and of course India. Since this is a Jackie Chan film, there are plenty of action scenes and laughs naturally.
This will be Chan’s first visit to Malaysia after receiving an Oscar honorary award in November. Kung Fu Yoga opens on Jan 27, with preview shows available a day before.
