Singaporean blogger Wendy Cheng, or better known as Xiaxue, is going from the web to the small screen, starring in her own E! reality series, Wendy Vs The World.
E! Asia announced in a press release that the series will document the 32-year-old online personality’s life as she enters a new phase.
“Facing the ‘working mum’ dilemma with a twist of fame, the special follows Wendy from nightclub appearances with her friends and Botox bonding sessions with her mother to raising her three-year-old son, Dash, with her American husband, Mike,” the statement read.
Xiaxue is known for offering her no-holds-barred social commentary, drawing more than 40,000 daily readers all over the world on her blog and has more than a million followers on social media.
“As the global pop culture powerhouse, E! is excited to feature such a buzzworthy Singaporean talent,” said Scott Mackenzie, vice president of Channels, Asia, NBCUniversal International Networks. “Love her or hate her, Wendy’s unique brand of wit and brutal honesty will surely entertain viewers across the region.”
Wendy Vs The World premieres Sept 20 at 10pm on E! (Astro Ch 712).
