Scorpions set to rock Singapore like a hurricane

For over 50 years, The Scorpions has resisted the winds of change, kept the sting in its tail, and continued rock us like a hurricane.

Come October, music fans in the region will get to watch the legendary German rock band live in action when they head to Singapore as part of its 50th Anniversary World Tour.

Organised by LAMC Productions, the concert is set to take place at 8pm, Oct 21, at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, and will feature longtime members Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (guitar) and Matthias Jabs (guitar), alongside James Kottak (drums) and Paweł Mąciwoda (bass).

Founded in Hannover, West Germany in 1965, Scorpions was part of the first wave of metal in the 1970’s with their debut album, Lonesome Crow, released in 1972. The band rose to arena status with seminal releases Lovedrive, Virgin Killer, and Animal Magnetism, but it truly achieved global superstardom in the 80s with songs like Rock You Like A Hurricane, No One Like You, Send Me An Angel, Still Loving You, and of course, the iconic Winds Of Change.

With more than 100 million records sold to date, Scorpions is the most successful rock band from continental Europe by far. It has won multiple awards globally, got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, and the band even has its own postage stamp in Brazil!
