Foals and Sigur Ros set to play Singapore

Singapore, specifically Fort Canning, is the place to be in November for the Neon Lights festival.

Neon Lights is the city state’s premiere music and arts festival that features mostly international and local indie bands and artists. This year, the festival will be held on Nov 26 and 27 – English rock band Foals and Icelandic group Sigur Ros will be headlining the event.

Foals, a five-piece indie rock band, released its fourth studio album What Went Down recently; it was named NME magazine’s album of the year in 2015. The critically-acclaimed album features singles What Went Down, Mountain At My Gates and Give It All.

Led by Yannis Philippakis, Foals will perform on the first day of Neon Lights.

On the second day, the spotlight will be on Sigur Ros. The trio, known for its ethereal sound, promises an unforgettable show at its only South-East Asia gig this year.

Foals and Sigur Ros are expected to play full-length shows at Neon Lights. Meanwhile, more acts for the festival will be announced in July. Tickets to Neon Liights are priced from SG$135 (RM395.25). To qualify for the early-bird ticket sale on May 10 (when tickets are slightly cheaper), sign up for the Neon Lights exclusive mailing list at www.neonlights.sg.
