Trailer watch: Ghostbusters, now with more Chris Hemsworth

The international trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot offers new footage from the highly anticipated film.

While the latest trailer contains a lot of scenes that were already featured in the first trailer, it does home in a bit more on Chris Hemsworth’s character Kevin, who appeared only once in the first trailer. The international peek shows Kevin applying for the job as the Ghostbusters’ receptionist and suggesting a logo for the team.

“Is it the boobs you don’t like?” Kevin asks when revealing a logo of a rather well-endowed ghost. “Because I can make them bigger.”

The trailer also gives a glimpse at a scene at a rock concert crawling with ghosts. A stage-diving attempt from Leslie Jones’ character Patty fails as concert-goers flee instead of catching her.

“I don’t know if it was a race thing or a lady thing, but I’m mad as hell,” she says from the floor, a possible nod to the controversy surrounding the film over race and gender.

The first trailer for the anticipated reboot, which dropped earlier, managed to rack up more than 24 million views across YouTube and Facebook in its first 24 hours. That number topped both Independence Day: Resurgence and The Legend Of Tarzan in opening-day trailer views.

Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig, stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon alongside Jones and Hemsworth. It hits theaters in the US on July 15. – Reuters
