Running Man’s Lee Kwang-soo causes fan frenzy at KLCC

Fans of Running Man star, Lee Kwang-soo, rushed to Suria KLCC mall in Kuala Lumpur earlier today to catch a glimpse of the Korean heartthrob.

He was in KL to launch the new Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone, which will go on sale in Malaysia tomorrow.

“When I heard that Samsung is launching the Galaxy S7 Edge in Malaysia, I knew I had to be part of the launch,” Lee said to the legion of screaming fans at the mall.

“The S7 Edge is the perfect combination of style, performance and entertainment, and being able to pick mine up in a very welcoming country where I also get to visit my fans is quite the experience.”

While the 30-year-old star is known for his appearance on the variety show Running Man, he has appeared in several high-rated K-dramas such as It’s Okay, That’s Love, Goddess Of Fire and The Innocent Man.

Lee has garnered the nickname “The Prince Of Asia” for his massive fanbase in South-East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.

No wonder he is popular with advertisers as he endorses brands such as Toyota, Nestle and Ya! Tudou Snack.

The Galaxy S7 Edge is priced at RM3,099 (inclusive of GST) and comes in three colours – Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum.
