Adnan, who was diabetic and had high blood pressure, was admitted to Hospital Selayang on Thursday morning and placed in the ICU. He died at 2.17 this morning.
The Kedah-born composer is a revered musician in the local industry, having helped discover talents that later went on to become household names.
He graduated from the prestigious Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and later worked in various record labels in Malaysia including Suria Records and BMG .
He had written hit songs for artistes such as Siti Nurhaliza (Jerat Percintaan), Misha Omar (Bunga Bunga Cinta), Ziana Zain (Puncak Kasih) and Fauziah Latiff (Teratai Layu Di Tasik Madu).
He also appeared in the first three seasons of the popular talent show Akademi Fantasia where he nurtured the talents of winners like Vince Chong, Zahid and Mawi.
