British actor and TV host James Corden is hoping to turn his highly popular Carpool Karaoke segment into a standalone series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Late Late Show talk show host wants to develop a spin-off of the concept that has become a major viral sensation on YouTube, raking in millions of views every week.
The segment invites some of the biggest musical acts to carpool with Corden and belt out their own tunes in the car, often with hilarious results.
The segment has featured everyone from Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder to Adele, whose ride-along became late night’s biggest viral success, logging more than 84 million YouTube views.
