Does anyone remember Johnathon Schaech?

The superhero series DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow has cast Johnathon Schaech as DC Comics’ bounty hunter Jonah Hex, The CW announced recently.

The small-screen iteration of the character is described as a true legend of the Old West, a morally ambiguous gunslinger with a penchant for danger. Surprisingly, he knows a thing or two about time travel and the future, but is at home in the Wild West.

Hex has been battling outlaws and gangs for a while now, and advises the team to be extra careful when they arrive in the small town of Salvation. As Variety first reported, Hex will make his debut in episode 111 of The Flash and Arrow spinoff series, with the potential to recur.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim released the following statement when the character was announced: “Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West. But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply MUST include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill, Ciara Renee, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Falk Hentschel. The series hails from Bonanza Productions Inc in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter. – Reuters
